The Phoenix Suns have been very busy this offseason. Gone are both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal and the clear focus for the franchise has become about building around superstar guard Devin Booker.

While a lot of roster change has already occurred, the Suns are looking to potentially bring in another big piece.

It has been reported that Phoenix is among the teams who are interested in bringing in Golden State Warriors’ restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga. Another team to watch is the Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bulls have also been talked about as a possible landing spot.

ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania has reported that both the Suns and Kings have made “concrete offers” to the Warriors in sign-and-trade scenarios for Kuminga.

Now, a new report has come out about where Kuminga would stand when it comes to playing in Phoenix.

According to NBA reporter Anthony Slater of ESPN, Kuminga would be interested in that idea. Playing for the Suns could be a perfect scenario for him as well.

“I’ll tell you, Jonathan Kuminga wouldn’t mind being right now an extended member of the Phoenix Suns,” Slater reported.

Last season with Golden State, Kuminga had an up-and-down year. His role was not always consistent. Towards the end of the season, he saw time on the bench due to Steve Kerr’s decision, but in the playoffs he also put together some huge performances.

Throughout the regular season, Kuminga played in 47 games and made 10 starts. He averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, while also shooting 45.4 percent from the floor and 30.5 percent from three-point range.

Expect to hear more about Kuminga in the near future. Phoenix is clearly interested in acquiring him, but there are other teams involved as well. It will be interesting to see if the Suns are able to work something out to bring him onboard.
