When the Dallas Wings selected Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, it was a completely change of the outlook for the future. Even though the 2025 season has not seen a lot of winning, the future is still incredibly bright.

Bueckers, who was fresh off of leading the UConn Huskies to a national championship win in her final college season, has lived up to all of the hype as a rookie in the WNBA.

Already, she has shown superstar ability. Not only does she have the potential to be a superstar, she has played like one right off the bat.

With that being said, it has now been shared that Bueckers holds another prestigious WNBA record.

Polymarket Hoops took to X to share that Bueckers is the first player in WNBA history to have 350 or more points and 100 or more assists in their first 20 career games. Caitlin Clark did not even hit that level of production.

Throughout the 2025 WNBA season thus far, Bueckers has played in 20 games. She has averaged 18.1 points per game to go along with 5.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals.

In addition to her overall averages, Bueckers has shot 45 percent from the floor and has knocked down 32.9 percent of her three-point attempts.

Bueckers is expected to continue improving over the next few years. With her already playing at the level she has shown, that is a scary thought for opposing WNBA teams. Her ceiling is limitless at this point in time.

Expect to see the Wings start showing signs of improvement in the next year or two. They’re headed for another high pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, which will give them another elite young talent to place alongside Bueckers.

For now, the rookie guard will continue stacking up records and growing her game. It’s an exciting time to be a Dallas fan.
